Sire: Teunis 332

Dam: Hennie (x Jocham)

Djura B, a 2yo Foalbook filly, joined Huntington from The Netherlands in January 2004. Our intention was to break her to harness because she possessed an amazing trot. Djura was awarded Champion Mare and Reserve Day Champion at the 2006 NSW Keuring largely due to her incredible action.

The harness career didn’t eventuate because Djura proved herself to be an excellent brood mare. She produced two lovely daughter by Xavier; Ria in 2005, now living in Victoria and Thea in 2006, now living in W.A.

In 2007 Djura presented us with the exquisite Zanneke-Djura, a filly by the approved stallion Wobke 403. Zanneke is one of the rare Australian born fillies conceived by imported frozen semen.
On july 31st 2008, Djura died as the result of a ruptured stomach. The post mortem did not reveal the cause of the rupture. At the time she was pregnant with her fourth foal, a coly by Xavier. We had intended to try for another Wobke foal but this wasn’t possible because the Equine Influenza outbreak prohibited any movement of horses during the 2007 breeding season.

Djura’s untimely death was difficult to come to terms with but we appreciate the valuable contribution to the stud of her daughter Zanneke.
